Leader of Leaders

Children’s ministry. Big events. Children’s workers’ training conferences. Ministry consulting. Leadership training. Christian school.

The common factor? Jim’s been put in charge of each one, learned as he led, developed time-proven methods, and emerged from each new responsibility with refined systems, invaluable lessons and a team of leaders who love their people, their pastors and are committed to accomplishing their God-given purposes.

As a consultant, trainer, speaker, coach and mentor, Jim brings to the table over thirty years of experience in both children’s ministry and various other positions in the local church. For the past seventeen years, he has led one of America’s largest children’s ministries at Church On The Move in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And now he is ready to take what he has learned to build strong leaders in the local church across the country and around the world.

Not only does he draw on a vast amount of experience from working with four different churches of various sizes and personalities, but he also possesses an awareness of how children’s ministry has changed over the years and what works now. Jim is committed to spending the rest of his life teaching the most effective leadership qualities to the next generation of relevant children’s ministers.

When ministries resource Jim’s experience, they have a unique opportunity to skip the sometimes costly mistakes and get on the fast track to success. With Jim as a part of your team, each ministry can tap into the ultimate “been there, done that” knowledge base of what works and what does not. Jim’s consulting also saves ministries the excess “petty cash” spent testing big event ideas that (might) work and resources that (hopefully) will make their ministry the most effective, and focuses the cash flow into what is guaranteed to reach the most children for Christ.

Jim was awarded the Excellence in Ministry Award from the International Network of Children’s Pastors in 1989. More recently, he was named one of the ten “Pioneers of the Decade in Children’s Ministry” by Children’s Ministry magazine. Jim has authored four books covering topics ranging from relevant children’s ministry to parenting. He is currently based in Tulsa where he spends as much time as possible with his wife, two daughters and son-in-law.

Creator of Kidz Blitz

Roger Fields is an ordained minister who crisscrosses America blasting toilet paper all over large, respectable churches. Well, let’s back up.

He is the creator of Kidz Blitz--a successful, cross-denominational ministry. He, along with two other teams, conducts high-energy, evangelistic events across the nation. He writes and publishes children’s ministry curriculum used in thousands of churches. He trains children’s pastors through seminars and published articles. He formerly pastored churches in Kentucky and Florida. He likes what he does now better.

He is a husband, father, writer, speaker, consultant, humorist and humble member of Mensa. He attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from a Bible college in 1980. He can’t remember where.

Having a wife and four daughters, he spent the last 25 years waiting to get into the bathroom. He lives in Kentucky where he tries to maintain his small horse farm without stepping in anything.
